To answer your question, yes, we mostly work "out of the box", the software systems we use for doing audio engineering are engineered to completely remove the occurrences of any analog distortion and noise, that can arise in analog systems during production.

Analog "warmth", of distortion, saturation and noise, can be injected by other means, in a controlled manner, to better compliment the productions needs.
